Created original graphics and diagrams for various publications using Photoshop and MS Excel.
Redesigned majority of Adopt-a-River documents both web and print for increased usability and compliance with DNR publication policies using Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Worked and collaborated with other agencies, organizations, and departments including; DNR Info and Education, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, River Management Society Midwest Chapter, and the National Park Service.
Assisted Water Access, Water Trails, Horse Pass, and other Trails and Waterways programs with public communication.
Represented the DNR at several expos and conferences and learned a lot about DNR programs and the needs of the public.

Job Duties:

Collected river water samples for E-coli testing around Lansing. I was responsible for collecting and labeling the samples and submitting samples to the lab for testing in a timely manner.

Made Deans List 6/6 semesters including five solid 4.0 semesters.
Received the Jon Bartholic award for Excellence in Creativity.
Selected by MSU to receive the honor of being “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges” for significant academic achievement.
Was invited by Dr. Dennis Propst to participate on a student / professor panel for a discussion on reflective learning at the 6th Biennial Conference on University Education in Natural Resources. Also received a scholarship to attend.
Research paper on soil erosion published in Green Pieces Student Journal (2003-2004), 2nd place.

Computer Skills: Achieved proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Publisher, Arc GIS software, working knowledge of Adobe (CS3) Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, and InDesign. Some experience with HTML, CSS, and Web 2.0. Skilled at creating and producing publications including original digital or hand drawn graphics.
